트로피이미지

Representatives of Hunan Province in China unveiled plans for the longest and highest glass-bottom bridge in the world. The bridge will be built in the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon by July. Zhangjiajie is the background of the James Cameron’s film Avatar in 2009.

A famous Israeli architect, Haim Dotan, designed the bridge and it will feature a fashion show runway, and the highest bungee jumping platform in the world. The bridge is 430m long and 6m wide. Visitors will be able to walk at a height of more than 300m.

The bridge has been tested with strict standards to endure strong winds, earthquakes, frost and internal pressure. It can accommodate up to 800 people at one time.

The bridge will be also the first cable-suspended, cliff-side, transparent structure in the world. The public will be able to visit the bridge the following October.
